| Assessment - The process of giving and receiving feedback
about observed behaviors, using categories of survey items,
rating scales and comments. An assessment can also be the
compilation of a specific person's feedback.
Assignment - The process of specifying who will receive
feedback (subjects), who will give it (respondents) and the
relationship of respondents to each subject.
Assessment media - The means by which an assessment
is distributed and completed: includes web (standard) and paper
Categories - A focused area such as "Innovative
Problem-Solving". Items are assigned within categories.
Reports can give an overall averge of items within categories.
Item - A single question that can be responded to
with numeric scales and/or comments.
Participant - Anyone who participates in a 20/20 Insight
GOLD project, whether they are a respondent giving feedback
or a subject receiving feedback.
Password - A confidentiality feature in 20/20 Insight
GOLD, required in order for respondents to open their assessments.
Respondents will be able to set their own passwords.
Project /Survey - An administration of feedback defined
by who is giving it, who is receiving it, and what the feedback
is.
Respondent - A person who gives feedback.
Respondent relationship - A phrase that describes
the relationship of the respondent to the subject. Reports
data is displayed for each relationship type.
Scales - The unit of measurement for the assessment,
includes the question stem and descriptors, used with a range
of numeric ratings.
Summary questions - End-of-survey questions that ask
for only comments and no numerical ratings.
Web assessment - An assessment file that lets respondents
complete the assessment from a web server hosted by PSS.
